Once upon a time, there lived a boy named Nabhan. He spent his childhood in a quiet forest with his family. The forest was his playground, filled with tall trees, colorful flowers, and the songs of birds. Life was simple but magical, and Nabhan loved exploring the hidden corners of the woods.

One bright morning, Nabhan went out to pick flowers for his mother. As he was carefully plucking blossoms, he noticed movement in the bushes. To his surprise, it was a small rabbit, trembling and in pain. When Nabhan looked closer, he saw a thorn stuck in the rabbit’s delicate foot.

A Kind Act That Changed Everything

Nabhan’s heart filled with compassion. Without hesitation, he gently removed the thorn and wrapped the wound with a piece of cloth. The rabbit looked up at him with grateful eyes and, to Nabhan’s shock, spoke in a clear voice:

“Thank you, Nabhan.”

Nabhan froze. A rabbit… talking? He couldn’t believe his ears! His amazement quickly turned into fear, and he ran back home, his mind swirling with questions. Was it real? Or just a dream?

Meeting Ooshayo

That night, Nabhan could hardly sleep. The next day, curiosity led him back to the same spot. To his delight—and slight nervousness—the rabbit was waiting for him.

This time, Nabhan introduced himself. “Ma Nabhan hanus,” he said, meaning my name is Nabhan. The rabbit replied, “Ma Ooshayo hanus—my name is Ooshayo.”

From that moment, an extraordinary friendship began. Nabhan and Ooshayo spent their days exploring the forest, talking about everything under the sun, and discovering mysterious places that Nabhan had never noticed before. It was like living in a dream where reality and magic blended together.

But time passes quickly, and soon Nabhan’s school vacation ended. With a heavy heart, he left the forest house to return to the city. Ooshayo was left behind, missing his human friend, while Nabhan often thought of the rabbit during his busy city days. Their bond remained strong in both of their hearts.

After many months, Nabhan returned to the forest for another vacation. The very first thing he did was run into the woods, hoping to see Ooshayo again. To his joy, the rabbit was there, waiting. They hugged tightly, and Nabhan felt a wave of happiness wash over him.

This time, Ooshayo had a surprise. He introduced Nabhan to his family—his wife Ooshayi and their tiny baby rabbits. Nabhan was amazed and asked, “How did this happen?”

Ooshayo smiled and explained, “When you left, I missed you very much. Then I met Ooshayi, who gave me comfort and companionship. We married and now live happily with our little ones.”

Nabhan congratulated his friend warmly. He was overjoyed to see Ooshayo happy and surrounded by family.

The Secret of Imagination

Once again, the vacation ended, and Nabhan returned to the city. But this time, he carried with him a deeper realization. The magical friendship, the talking rabbit, and the forest adventures—were they real, or just the imagination of a boy longing for wonder?
